During the Australia vs West Indies’ 1st T20 match, Mitchell Marsh, the Australian captain, smashed a huge six which went out of the park. Even though he’s suffering from COVID-19, he played the match which shows his courage and love for the game. The most interesting part about the six was its distance, 110 meters. He hit the six off Andre Russell and the ball travelled out of the park.

After coming to the crease, Marsh was seen playing slowly as he had scored four runs off six balls. As Russel came into bat, Marsh hit him a huge six against a back-of-a-length delivery. Marsh showed his power as he perfectly timed the ball and it was about to hit the big screen. Although there were a lot of sixes, it was one of the best sixes of the match.

However, Marsh didn’t disturb the scorecards much as he was dismissed by Alzarri Joseph soon after hitting the six. The captain scored 16 runs off 13 balls and departed. Thanks to David Warner’s 70 runs off 36 balls, Australia went on to score 213 runs in the first innings. For the visitors, Andre Russel took three wickets.

Mitchell Marsh tested positive for COVID-19 before 1st T20 against West Indies

Australia’s captain, Mitchell Marsh, tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the match against West Indies. However, the batter was allowed to play the match by keeping a distance from the players at Hobart’s Bellerive Oval. Moreover, in order to keep the others safe, Marsh will be given his separate dressing room and will maintain distance from players during the match.

Moreover, Australia’s Josh Inglis and Cameron Green were also affected by Covid-19 and have played internationals in recent weeks. Apart from them, the Australian coach Andrew McDonald was affected by COVID-19 in the last month.
