A hilarious misfield between a couple of Pakistan fielders during their World Cup 2023 Warm-up game against Australia has led to a meme fest on the internet. The fans could not control their laughter, as the miscommunication between the two fielders led to a boundary, which should have otherwise been just a single. The fans, former cricketers, and critics questioned the presence of mind of the fielders in the middle and expected better work from them.
It was in the middle overs phase that Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith were in the middle. Labuschagne was on strike and Haris Rauf was the bowler. The right-arm fast bowler bowled a back-of-a-length delivery. It was directed towards the waist region of Labuschagne. The ball was towards the leg side of the batter. Rauf tried to do something different.
The tearaway pacer was attacked by the Australian batters and did not seem to be at his best, The confidence was lacking in the bowler. The ball he bowled to Labuschagne lacked the confidence as well. it turned out to be a loosener to the batter. Labuschagne guided in between the fielders stationed at the fine leg region and the square leg region.

Haris Rauf expresses disappointment with the fielding efforts
Mohammad Wasim Jr. was stationed in the fine leg region and Mohammad Nawaz was in the square leg region. As they saw the ball approaching them, they tried to stop it. But instead of focusing on the ball, the two fielders focused on the movement of each other. They kept on looking if the other one tried to attempt to stop the ball from reaching the boundary.
The two kept looking at each other, as the ball pierced the gap between them to reach the boundary. The confusion and miscommunication between the two fielders led to the hilarious misfield. The bowler was not pleased with the efforts of the two fielders. Nawaz and Wasim Jr. kept looking at each other guessing how they missed it. Pakistan has a history of such miscommunications leading to misfields. This was one such instance as well.
