There was a lot of controversy surrounding the Lords Test where Australia beat England by 43 runs, A big feud between the Australian players and the spectators of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) had taken place. The MCC has ceased three members who will not be given entry into the place. They will only be allowed after the investigation on them concludes. Cricket CA shot off a complaint after Usman Khawaja and David Warner were in a heated argument with some members.

The visuals of the same have come out and CA has ordered an investigation to be conducted. Shortly after, the MCC put out a statement regarding the incident and also were not pleased with the way things unfolded. “MCC can confirm it has suspended three Members identified from earlier today,” a spokesperson said. “They will not be permitted back to Lord’s whilst the investigation takes place and were informed of this by MCC Chief Executive, Guy Lavender, this evening.”

“We maintain that the behaviour of a small number of Members was completely unacceptable and whilst there was no suggestion by Pat Cummins in the post-match press conference that there was any physical altercation, it remains wholly unacceptable to behave in such a way, which goes against the values of the Club. MCC condemns the behaviour witnessed and once again we re-iterate our apology to Cricket Australia. The statement added.

A CA spokesperson had also said that several incidents that include the Australian Cricket Team be investigated thoroughly. Before the members were sent off the MCC had put out an apology to Cricket Australia for the harassment that the Australian Team had faced. “Australian management has requested the Marylebone Cricket Club [MCC] investigate several incidents involving spectators in the members area during lunch on day five of the Lord’s Test. It is alleged players and staff from the Australian team were verbally abused, with some being physically contacted, as they made their way to lunch through the members area,” CA said.

Talking about the decorum, which was usually maintained at Lords, The MCC said in a statement, “The Long Room is unique in world cricket and the great privilege of players passing through the pavilion is very special. After this morning’s play, emotions were running high, and words were unfortunately exchanged with some of the Australian team, by a small number of members,” Lords is also famously known as the ‘Home of Cricket’ in England
