The Netherlands have won three Hockey World Cups since the start of the tournament. The Netherlands registered three Hockey World Cup titles in 1973, 1990 and their most recent win came in 1998.
Netherlands also have four runner-up medals in the tournament as they finished second in 1978, 1994, 2014 and 2018. They have finished third twice and fourth once in the prestigious tournament.
