Dinesh Chandimal has been in superb form in Tests and churned up the big runs against Australia at home. The dashing wicketkeeper batter failed to get a buyer in the SA 20 auction because his numbers have not had a great showing in the shortest format.

He has not set the stage of fire in the T20 format, and he has registered the most number of ducks in T20 internationals which amounts to sixty-one in total. Franchises would have felt that he does not yet have the game of switching gears quickly in T20 cricket, and probably, for this reason, he went unsold.
