Top Five Players who went unsold in the SA 20 League auction

The auction for the league took place yesterday.

The SA 20 is the new kid on the block with South Africa being better late than never to join the T20 carnival and having finally unveiled the league with the auction that happened yesterday. While there was a big money splurge on some players, others failed to get a buyer in the auction, which was a surprise, considering that they were big-name players in and around the T20I format in other leagues. Here are the top five players that went unsold in the As

1. Roston Chase-

He has been a good reliable option in the Caribbean Premier League. He can bat in the middle order and can also bowl a few overs of off-spin if needed. Chase can be used as the anchor of the team. The 29-year-old ended the 2021 season of the CPL as the highest run-scorer, with446 runs from 12 games averaging 49.55 and striking at 144.33. He also hit four fifties in the season.

He was not picked by any team in the SA 20 League because they needed hitters in the middle order and Roston Chase is more of a guy who will play the anchor role and a man who, more often than not, looks to steady the ship in times of a crisis. Chase also has been inconsistent in CPL 2022.
