Shawn Michaels intervention saves CM Punk 

During the initial phase of his WWE run, CM Punk did not have an easy time. As per many writers the powers to be weren’t huge fans of the second city saint. Years later one former WWE writer said that Triple H and Shawn Michaels weren’t fans of Punk and played a part in derailing his push.

This statement was shrugged off by Shawn Michaels and also David Lagana who said in a podcast that Shawn Michaels said “Um, if you don’t like something the kid is doing, why don’t you work with him to fix it, instead of killing him”. This endorsement from Mr. WrestleMania himself saved Punk his WWE job.
