The 24-year-old from Andhra Pradesh will be a huge medal hope for India in the hurdles event. Jyothi won the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at Asian Athletics Championships held in Bangkok. She also won the silver medal in the 200 meters in the same event. The hopes of India will be pinned on the shoulders of the 24-year-old when she takes the field in athletics.
