Gary Sobers stamped his name in West Indian Cricket as one of its greatest all-rounders. On April 28th, 2002, Sobers’ 12-foot-tall statue was unveiled outside Bridgetown. There was a small change that took place in 2006, the location was changed to the Kensington Oval stadium right before the start of the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean. The former West Indies cricketer’s sculpture attracts a lot of attention from fans who visit the famous stadium situated in Barbados.
