TNPL 2022 Match 24 Preview: Salem Spartans vs Ruby Trichy Warriors- Preview, Probable XIs, Pitch Report, Match Details, and Updates

The 2022 season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League is underway. There’s no denying that the league has helped Tamil Nadu cricket get many talented players into Tamil Nadu’s domestic system. The 24th match of this season will be played between two teams both of whom are at the bottom of the table.

The Ruby Trichy Warriors have just got a solitary win so far in the tournament. The Salem Spartans, on the other hand, have had a dismal tournament to show and they are yet to pick up their maiden win in the tournament.

Ruby Trichy Warriors and Salem Spartans are listed at second last and last positions respectively at the points table and this will be a clash between two teams at the bottom of the table. Though the interest will be a bit low in the game, there will be a lot to play for both teams. It remains to be seen whether Ruby Trichy Warriors will get their second win in the tournament or can the Salem Spartans earn their first points at their home venue.

The Ruby Trichy Warriors have only won one match in the tournament so far and that win came way back at the start of the league. In the last match, they lost by five wickets due to poor display of batting. Asked to bat first, the RTW could only come up with 135/10, which naturally did not turn out to be enough for them.

They will be playing after a gap of 4 days which could help their cause and might get them back to winning ways in the tournament. Their bowling, as well as batting, would need to improve massively if they are to win their next match.

The Salem Spartans have had a dismal tournament so far. Their side consists of young players and lacks experience. The Salem Spartans batting has not at all clicked in the tournament so far. The punt on youngsters has not worked for the Salem Spartans in their debut season. They have been bundled out for 103 and a 126 in their last two encounters. The youngsters will have to step up if the team has to make a mark in the tournament.

The forcast predicts possibility of thunderstorms with an average temperature of 26 degree Celsius which may affect the game.
