Lyca Kovai Kings and Seichem Madurai Panthers will lock horns in the Eliminator game on July 26 at the Salem Cricket Foundation Ground. Kings are coming off a five-run win against Nellai Royal Kings. On the other hand, the Panthers registered a big win in a low-scoring game against Ruby Trichy Warriors. Kings and Panthers finished fourth and third respectively in the points table.

The winner of the game will play the winner of Qualifier One between Nellai Royal Kings and Chepauk Super Gillies on July 27. Kovai and Madurai will enter the game with winning momentum. It might be a mouth-watering clash with the loser to go home.

The Yellow Brigade has players such as Shahrukh Khan, Sai Sudarshan, and T. Natarajan, who played in the India T20 League. Natarajan has played for India as well across formats. Talking about batting, J Suresh Kumar is the highest run-getter for the team and second-highest for the tournament with 352 runs in seven games. Sudarshan, who played for Gujarat this year, has gotten 218 runs in seven games.

Talking about bowling, AB Tanwar has been the highest wicket-taker for the team, and in the tournament with 13 wickets in six games. Notably, Khan has done well with 10 wickets to his name.

Siechem Madurai Panthers

The Blue Army finished third in the point table with five wins in seven games. The team has players such as Arun Karthik and Varun Chakravarthy. Fans might remember the former playing for Bangalore and hitting a match-winning six against South Australia in 2011.

Chakravarthy played for India in the 20-20 World Cup last year. Since then, he hasn’t played for India as he battled with injuries during the event. Karthik is the highest-run getter for the team 246 runs. In bowling, Kiran Akash has taken 12 wickets in the tournament.

Pitch Report:

With quite a few games played at the venue, the pitch is expected to be dry for the game. The spinners might get some help from the surface. Expect a low-scoring game between the two teams.
