The Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022 was announced yesterday and there was a certain uproar on the player selection of the squad. With the squad announced and the players confirmed to star in the multi-team tournament, some players have missed out on their chance.
There will always be some players who are not able to make the cut due to some reason or the other. Here we will have a look at the players who will not get a chance to feature in the Asia Cup 2022.

The Wicketkeeper batter, Sanju Samson, had a great Indian T20 League 2022 for the Rajasthan team where he scored 458 runs at an average of 30.68 and a strike rate of 148.02. This earned him a recall to the Indian side and he had a great ODI and T20 series against the West Indies.
In the two T20I’s that he batted in, he scored 45 runs and he showed that he is suitable for this format. He is also very good behind the wickets and has good ability and striking power with the bat. Samson can be an ideal foil in the middle order as well. Why he was not selected, remains to be a mystery.
