The Indian batter Rishabh Pant met with an accident in the early hours on December 30, Friday, on his way back to Delhi from Dehradun in the Narsan border area. The Indian wicketkeeper was admitted to the Max hospital in Dehradun and sustained various injuries, that could rule him out for at least 6 months if not more.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, we decided to handpick three players who could lead Delhi in his absence in the upcoming Indian T20 League 2023 edition. For the unversed, Pant is the captain of the team and his ruling out might mean that the management might have to look for other options.

Here are the three players who could lead Delhi in Indian T20 League 2023:

3) David Warner

David Warner, the Australian batter, lead the national team earlier until the Sandpapergate scandal earned him a captaincy ban. The southpaw tried to appeal to the top brass and eventually requested them to review the same, only to withdraw it later on citing personal reasons.

However, the ban is applicable only for national games and the batter might as well take up leadership once again, for the Delhi franchise in the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. For the unversed, it was under his leadership, the Hyderabad franchise won the tournament in 2016.
