The World Cricket Governing Council has announced the deadline for all the cricket boards to submit their final squad for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022. As per a report by Inside Sport, all the cricketing nations have to submit their final squad by 15th September as directed by the World Cricket Governing Council.

The Indian Cricket Team have only 4 series left before they are to announce the 15-member squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. India are first slated to play a two-match T20 series against Ireland from 26th to 28th June 2022.

India are then slated to play against England for a three-match series from 7th July to 10th July 2022. After touring England, India will then play against West Indies for a three-match T20I series from 29th July to 2nd August 2022.

The Asia Cup will take place in T20 format this year. The tournament is slated to start on the 27th of August 2022. However, the entire schedule is yet to be announced.

India don’t have a lot of games left before they have to announce the 15-man squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022. India recently played a five-match T20 series against South Africa. South Africa won the first T20 internationals but India stormed back by winning the next two games.

The players like Harshal Patel, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Dinesh Karthik have made a strong case for themselves for their places in the 20-20 World Cup squad. However, on the other hand, players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, etc. have disappointed one and all with their performances.

However, all these players still have a lot of matches to secure their place and need to keep performing consistently in the upcoming matches.
