The rivalry between India and Pakistan has always been fierce on the cricket field. The fans eagerly wait for the clash between the two nations as they don’t play bilateral series anymore due to political reasons. With every match that takes place between the two sides, the rivalry gets more intense as the team that got beaten in the last clash looks for revenge in the next one.

The two teams last played in the 20-20 world Cup last year as Pakistan registered a comprehensive victory against the ‘men in blue’ breaking the jinx of never winning a world cup game against India.

Ever since that game, Pakistan fans are over-the-moon and teasing Indian fans every day reminding them of their loss. On the other hand, Indian fans are eagerly waiting for revenge and can’t wait for this year’s game to arrive. Not only the fans but the former cricketers also get involved in some banter before the game. The former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh had also asked former Pakistani player Shoaib Akhtar to give India a ‘walkover’ as Pakistan will not be able to beat them.

“I told Shoaib Akhtar that there’s no sense in Pakistan participating; you should give us a walkover. You’ll play, you’ll lose again, and you’ll be upset.” On Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh had remarked, “Our squad is extremely solid, very powerful, and they will easily beat you guys.”

This statement backfired for Harbhajan as he was badly trolled by Akhtar and Pakistan fans after the game. Learning a lesson from last time around Harbhajan has decided not to make any prediction about this year’s match.

“We have another T20 World Cup and this year, I won’t be giving any statement and won’t talk over who will win [between Pakistan and India],” he told to Shoaib Akhtar in a conversation.

“Mauka Mauka or whatever, we will see what is going to happen as last time around things went bad due to this,”

Shoaib advised Harbhajan not to make any prediction on which the latter agreed.
