Suryakumar Yadav on the back of his sensational batting in the last couple of years has become one of the integral parts of the Indian team. His strike rate of 179.08 is the highest of any T20I batter pointing to his excellence in the shortest international format.
The right-hand batter has on many occasions given credit to Mumbai franchise for his fiery batting. The 32-year-old however credits everything to his wife who has been by his side through thick and thin. The two got married in July 2016 and since then SKY has seen a meteoric rise in cricket. After playing innumerable match-winning knocks for Mumbai, the right-hand batter was selected for the Indian national team and since then he hasn’t looked back.
SKY has often credited his wife for everything and both seem to have a great relationship. The Indian batter’s latest Instagram post highlights this very support.
On his wife, Devisha Shetty’s birthday, the Indian batter shared a heartfelt note on Instagram. The Instagram post had a picture of Suryakumar with his wife and a caption, “Happy birthday to my beautiful wife. The centre of my universe, the solver of all my problems, the one that keeps me motivated, focused, and grounded. I truly don’t know what I’d do without you. Here’s celebrating the biggest blessing that was sent my way.”
The Mumbai franchise player has been sensational after coming into the Indian team. This year for example the right-hand batter has made 1040 runs in T20Is. SKY has batted with an average of 43.33 and an extraordinary strike rate of 185.71 in 2022. In 29 innings the 32-year-old has 9 half-centuries and one century as well.
SKY is currently on a tour of New Zealand for a three-match T20I and ODI series which starts on November 18th.
