‘Sadakchap tournament mein aur kya milega’ – Babar Azam slammed for almost throwing his bat on Hasan Ali in PSL
Islamabad United won the match against Babar Azam led Peshwar Zalmi.

Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United locked horns in a Pakistan Super League clash where Zalmi lost to United by 8 wickets. Babar Azam’s half-century was of no avail as Islamabad made light work of a 157 run target setup by Zalmi. Rahamanullah Gurbaz made a superb 62 off 31 with seven fours and four sixes which gave United their second win.
Babar Azam and Hasan Ali had a showdown when Babar, while facing Ali, looked for a single and also decided to have some fun with Hasan. When Babar was running mid pitch, he scared Hasan off his wits by lifting his bat and pretended to throw the bat at the pacer. In the end, the players looked at it on the funnier side. Hasan, ended up picking 3-35, which helped him get the player of the match award.

“I wasn’t saying much to him. I was just trying to compete with him because everyone knows that since he is making a comeback, he would put in extra effort. He wasn’t in the best of forms but the way he bowled tonight, it shows that he is getting his rhythm back. I was having a bit of interaction with him, trying to put him under pressure but I guess it didn’t work,” Babar talked about the banter between him and Hasan after the match.
Hasan, who has been in and out of the Pakistan team, due to fitness and form, was glad he could contribute to his team’s success.
“I kept believing in myself and worked hard to get back. The first over didn’t go to plan but I came back well. Thanks to the management for always backing me and telling me I am a tiger. I would also like to thank my wife who keeps pushing me and believing in me. When I got the ball in my second spell, the credit goes to Shadab for believing me and giving the ball after a poor first over,” Hasan said after the match when he had a good game with the ball.
