Delhi have not had an ideal start to the Indian T20 League 2023. The David Warner-led side have been found wanting with the bat as they lost to Lucknow by 50 runs. Delhi’s batting was blown away due to a five-wicket haul from Mark Wood. In their second game, Delhi were kept down to 163. Sai Sudharsan bulldozed the Delhi attack and then helped his side win by six wickets.
Prithvi Shaw has not shown good form with the bat much to the chagrin of Virender Sehwag. Shaw has scored just 12 runs against Lucknow. In the game against Gujarat, he scored 7. Sehwag mentioned that Shaw needs to buck up his game and score big runs just like Shubman Gill has done in all formats to India. Shaw did not have a long stint with the Indian Team since he made his debut and has been out of the side.

“He has been dismissed playing those kinds of shots so many times… but he should also learn from his mistakes, right?,” Sehwag said. “Look at Shubman Gill, who played U-19 cricket with him and is now playing Test, ODIs and T20Is for India, but Shaw is still struggling in the Indian T20 league. He has to make the most of this Indian T20 League platform and score runs. Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.
“Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 600 odd runs in an Indian T20 League season. Shubman Gill also scored big runs. So even Shaw has to be consistent with his Indian T20 League scores,” Sehwag added. The former Indian opener also made comparisons between Shaw and Ruturaj Gaikwad who has been the leading run scorer in the Indian T20 League. Gaikwad has also scored two half-centuries in two games.
Gujarat were all over Delhi with the ball as they kept Delhi down to 163. Then Gujarat with their finishers smashed the Delhi bowlers over the place and won the game to get two in two in the competition. Gujarat won the Indian T20 League in their debut season in 2022.
I said it again i will say it again Prithvi Shaw will not be successful He has Technical issues Same With Kishan which can't be overlooked Becoz of Talent who are available Gill Gaikwad Jaiswal Dhull These Players will be Big Success in International in coming Years
Shaw career is gonna go down because at current rate Gill is locked as opener in ODIs and Tests . After 2024,One spot will be available there in both formats as Rohit will retire . My choice for tests are – Jaiswal, Ruturaj,KL,Dhull . ODIs – Ishan, Ruturaj,Dhull .
