SA vs IND 2023/24: All you need to know about upcoming multi-format tour

The two cricketing giants will play 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is and 2 Tests in the multi-format tour

The cricket calendar is a relentless machine, churning out matches at a breakneck pace. From international tournaments to domestic leagues, there seems to be no end to the cricketing action. For players, the constant pressure and physical strain can take a toll. While the constant stream of cricket matches might seem like a paradise for fans, the sheer volume of fixtures is starting to overwhelm even the most devoted supporters.

The relentlessness of the cricket calendar is perfectly exemplified by India’s upcoming tour to South Africa. Mere days after completing a gruelling five-match T20I series against Australia, the Indian team will embark on a full-fledged tour of South Africa, with the first match scheduled for December 10.

The timing of the T20I series against Australia too sparked controversy, as it commenced just three days after the conclusion of the World Cup, in which both teams had just competed in the final. This rapid turnaround drew criticism from fans and pundits, raising concerns about player fatigue and the overall integrity of the cricketing schedule.

Anyway, the ball keeps rolling and as mentioned earlier, India will soon leave for the Rainbow Nation for a full tour comprising 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 2 Tests.
