Royal Challengers Bangalore made a painful exit from IPL 2023 after they failed to beat Gujarat Titans to secure a spot in IPL 2023 playoffs. Shubman Gill overshadowed Virat Kohli and scored a magnificent 104 off 52 balls with five fours and eight sixes. This allowed GT to overhaul RCB’s score of 197. GT thus reached their second playoff in as many seasons. The Hardik Pandya-led side will be looking to defend their title.

Meanwhile, the war between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore does not seem to end. After RCB crashed out of IPL 2023, The LSG social media team went to Twitter and posted a very cryptic tweet saying, “Give it? Take it? Let’s leave it. Well fought, @RCBTweets. See you next season.” Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had two heated altercations when RCB and LSG played each other over the course of the 2023 season.

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants won a game apiece in IPL 2023

When RCB faced LSG at home, LSG won a nail-biting game by one wicket. After the game ended, Gambhir shushed the crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kohli replied in kind at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. He also shushed the Lucknow crowd but asked them to support RCB and the crowd did oblige Kohli’s wishes in the end. The Bold Army had beaten LSG at the Ekana stadium in a low-scoring thriller.

In the same game, Kohli and Gambhir were at loggerheads with each other. Then, Kohli had another spat with Naveen-ul-Haq. This happened when the two players were shaking hands. Naveen appeared to tightly grip Kohli’s hand and in the end, Kohli somehow managed to shake it off. When Kl Rahul called Naveen to sort things out with Kohli, he refused to have any conversation. The two then took jibes at each other on social media.

LSG as a team has done very well. They finished the league stage in IPL 2023 in third place. They finished on 17 points with eight wins and five losses. This is the second time that LSG has made it to the playoffs in as many seasons. They lost to RCB in the eliminator in 2022.
