The 11th match of theย Legends League Cricket tournament kicked off between Bhilwara Kings and Gujarat Giants at the Barkatullah Khan stadium in Jodhpur. The Bhilwara Kings won the toss and choose to bowl first. The Gujarat Giants got off to a wonderful start, courtesy of Lendl Simmons and Chris Gayle who belted the Bhilwara King’s bowling. Lendl Simmons scored a bright and breezy 22 from 18 balls with 5 fours, while Chris Gayle manufactured a ‘Gayle storm’, scoring 68 runs from 40 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes.
This innings put the Bhilwara Kings on the mat as they had nowhere to hide. Then there was a mini-collapse with Parthiv Patel and Kevin O Brian getting out in quick succession to put a halt on the scoring at 51-3. Later on, when Chris Gayle departed after his whirlwind knock, the score was at 121-4. Yashpal Singh came in at number 5 and smashed a 58-ball 37 with 6 fours and 2 sixes.
The finishing touches were provided by Thisara Perrera and Joginder Sharma, who hit 2 boundaries and 1 six between them, in the end, to take the total to a daunting 186-7.
In the second innings, on a pitch that was a minefield, William Porterfield and Morne Van Wyk provided a solid start with Porterfield scoring 40 from 37 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Van Wyk complimented him well with a quick 26 from 16 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.
After they were dismissed in quick succession, with the score at 60-2. There was a halt in the scoring as Graeme Swann picked up back-to-back wickets of Shane Watson and Nick Compton, which meant the Bhilwara Kings were reeling at 96-4. The Bhilwara Kings got back into the game by solid contributions from Yusuf Pathan and Jesal Karia who scored 39 runs each and hit 7 boundaries and 5 sixes.
The innings for the Bhilwara Kings was finished off at the end by their skipper Irfan Pathan, who played a quickfire knock of 26 from 14 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.

It's 2022 and @IrfanPathan is still winning matches for India not only with the ball but with the bat as well like he did way back in 2005
Also, he's juggling between India Legends and Bhilwara Kings where he is the captain. Respect ๐ pic.twitter.com/fgXIauyHC5
