This will be a final match before the actual final of the 2022 Asia Cup 2022. Pakistan and Sri Lanka, two teams with 2 wins each in the Super 4 round, will face each other in Dubai on Friday. Pakistan will be high on confidence after getting a thrilling win against Afghanistan in Sharjah, while Sri Lanka is riding high on confidence after beating defending Asia Cup champions India in its last game.

Team news

Pakistan

They would look to rest their regulars and give a chance to their non-regulars so that the team gets an additional day of rest before the day of the big final.

Sri Lanka

They will look to do the same as well so that the players are well rested before the big face-off happens. The Lankans will be high on confidence and will want to continue to play well.

Players to watch out for

Pakistan

Mohammad Rizwan- The keeper batter will look to score big and give Pakistan three wins on the trot. He has been in sensational form in the tournament except for the game against Afghanistan and he will look to get back amongst the runs.

Babar Azam – Since the super four stage is ending, Babar Azam will want to get back to his old form and have some runs under his belt before the big finale.

Harris Rauf– He was bowling absolute thunderbolts in the last game and will look to do the same against Sri Lanka. The tearaway quick can rattle the bowlers and bowl at very high speeds.

Sri Lanka

Kusal Mendis– He plays the field very well and has been giving Sri Lanka very good starts at the top and he will want to continue on his merry way.

Dasun Shanaka– He has led the Sri Lankan team with aplomb, and he has been great as a batter by getting vital cameos down the order and he is also more than handy with the ball.

Banuka Rajapaksa– He is very good against spin and is the x-factor and the boundary hitter in this Sri Lankan side, he will want to get more runs under his belt to feel more confident.
