India defeated Pakistan in the Asian Games 2023 semifinal to enter the final of the event. India became the only team to enter the final of every edition of the Asian Games in Kabaddi. The only time India lost the final was in 2018 when they lost to Iran. But India defeated Pakistan rather comfortably in the semifinal of the event and claimed a spot in the final.
Pakistan started well in the match and claimed 4 points at the start. Pakistan actually managed to get rid of Pawan Sehrawat in the first few minutes of the game. What followed was an absolute domination from the Indian team. India inflicted 7 consecutive all-outs in the match against Pakistan. India claimed 60 points after the initial slump, as opposed to just 7 from Pakistan.
For India, Naveen Kumar and Aslam Inamdar were fantastic as raiders. The duo did the bulk of the job with their raiding and dominated the proceedings completely. There was no rash raiding from the duo, and they picked the points very comfortably indeed. Naveen did a fantastic job as the primary raider, although he started in the lineup as the third raider. Naveen helped India in dismissing Pakistan many times.

Solid defence from the Indian unit against Pakistan
Naveen was good with touchpoints. The youngster was agile and maintained good speed in his raids. On the other hand, Inamdar was good with his calculative raids. The Indian raider did not overtry to get points. The Indian captain Pawan was happy to not raid much in the match and let the youngsters take centerstage. The defence from Indiaย was fantastic as well.
The lineup of Nitesh Kumar and Vishal Bharadwaj in the right and left corners respectively, managed to stop the Pakistani raiders every now and then. In the right and left covers, Surjeet and Parvesh blocked the Pakistani raiders. There was no chance whatsoever for Pakistan to make a comeback, after the initial blip from the Indian team. India was crowned the Asian champions a few weeks back against Iran.
