Collective bowling effort leads to England’s win

Defending 340 did not turn out to be a big challenge for England. Their pacers were right on the money from the start. Chris Woakes and David Willey got the early breakthroughs for England which kept the Dutch out of the contest. Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid continued the good work done by the pacers with their spin bowling in the middle overs. The duo bowled well under lights.

Rashid went for some runs but picked the essential wickets. Moeen was handy with his off-spin and did just what England expected from him. Willey and Woakes were the pick of the bowlers who bowled 7 overs and conceded only 19 runs each. Willey was particularly impressive, who bowled a couple of maiden overs and claimed 2 wickets as well. In the end, they beat the Netherlands by 160 runs.
