Oval Invincibles (OVI) will be taking on Birmingham Phoenix (BPH) in the 23rd match of The Hundred Men 2022 tournament at the Oval in London on Tuesday. There has not been a lot to separate between the two sides in this edition of the tournament. Both sides stand on 6 points in 5 games and are coming into the game experiencing a loss. A win for either of the side will boost their chances of making it to the top three.
Oval Invincibles leaked 181 in the match against Trent Rockets last time around and lost the game by 25 runs. Sunil Narine has been at his consistent best in the tournament but has lacked support from other bowlers. Jason Roy’s lean patch is also a cause of concern for the Invincibles side. Jordan Cox smashing unbeaten 61 runs off 33 balls in the last game will be a huge boost for the side. Invincibles will want more from their International trio of Jason Roy, Sam Billings, and Sam Curran.
Predicted Playing XI: Jason Roy, Will Jacks, Sam Curran, Sam Billings (c & wk), Jordan Cox, Sunil Narine, Hilton Cartwright, Tom Curran, Matt Milnes, Reece Topley, Pat Brown.
Birmingham Phoenix lost their last game by 32 runs against Northern Superchargers. Captain Moeen Ali and Kane Richardson took two wickets each but still, opponents managed to put a big 170-run target batting first. While batting, Phoenix’s innings just couldn’t get going and they could only manage 137. Will Smeed has not been amongst the runs off -late and the batting seems to be very dependent on Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali. Birmingham would hope other batters to contribute consistently and lead their team to victory.
Predicted Playing XI: Will Smeed, Miles Hammond, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali (c), Matthew Wade (wk), Chris Benjamin, Benny Howell, Tom Helm, Henry Brookes, Kane Richardson, Imran Tahir.

The surface at the Oval has assisted both the batters and bowlers in the past games of The Hundred. The average score in the eight matches is 137 runs but teams are consistently scoring past the 150-rum mark this season. We can expect a high-scoring encounter with both sides blessed with power-hitters.
