Big News coming in from the NBA. Star players LeBron James and Stephen Curry, other several top players are hot in the race for an Olympic berth and are interested in going up against each other in the United States. This is for the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024. This was confirmed by multiple reports on Monday. James who is a four-time Champion at the NBA has been on a hunt to get on board top stars for a US side that is looking to get a fifth gold medal.

Stephen Curry has also talked about his interest in representing the Olympic squad guided by Warriors coach Steve Kerr, ESPN wrote in its report. This story comes right after a US side of 20-odd NBA stars did not have a good basketball World Cup as they had to contend with losses to Canada in the bronze-medal game and to Germany who went on to become World Champions in a semi-final fixture. They were led by James a forward who was 38 years old, who led the USA to Olympic gold in 2008 at Beijing and 2012 in London but has not played from that point onwards.

James is a guy who has been there and done that he knows the pain of having tasted losses, however, having been on the bench on the 2004 US squad that ended up winning bronze at the Athens Olympics and also in 2006, he was part of the side that ended up with bronze at the Basketball World Cup. Kevin Durant who has won the NBA twice and also the Phoenix Suns forward who has been in the news more often than not, made history with US Olympic gold-medal efforts in London and also in the 2016 Olympics in Rio and in 2021 at Tokyo.

Curry has not had any connection with the Olympic squad in the US but has weaved his magic to help American clubs be victorious in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup editions which have been their only titles including when they won it in 1994.
