The Pran Pratishtha Ceremony held on 22nd January in Ayodhya

“This is not just a moment of celebration for us all but also one to reflect the coming of age of the Indian society. The occasion is as much about triumph as it is about humility. The world is replete with instances of countries that faced a lot of difficulties resolving historic wrongs and injustices. However, the way we united the knots and resolved all outstanding issues gives us hope that our future is going to be more beautiful and fulfilling than our past” – PM Modi said

He added. ” There was also a time when some people used to say ‘Ram Mandir bana toh aag laag jaegi’ (the making of the Ram Temple would set off a firestorm). Such people lacked an understanding of the purity of our society, the spirit that binds us all. The majestic abode of Shree Ram Lalla will now stand as a symbol of peace, patience, mutual harmony and social unity. The construction of this temple did not set off a fire but exuded a positive energy that has been infectious for us all.

It was a historical day for all the Indians. It has been finally inaugurated after 500 years of waiting. Netizens acknowledged Pietersen for his love, respect and awareness towards Indian culture. At the same time, they have shown their anger at Virat Kohli, and MS Dhoni for not being present at the event, despite receiving an invitation.

Many former and active cricketers like Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ravindra Jadeja were seen at the event.

Pieterson’s post came ahead of the England tour with India, which will be scheduled to begin on 25th January in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

In 2012,  England became the last team to beat India on their home soil. In that series, Pietersen played some crucial knocks for the English batters. England will look to recreate their heroics from 2012.
