In the 15th match of Major League Cricket (MLC), the Seattle Orcas and MI New York locked horns with each other. Orcas won the toss and chose to bowl. MI New York got off to a jittery start as Shayan Jahangir fell to Andrew Tye for 19 off 14 balls with three fours. Monak Patel was next to depart as he fell for 2 off 7 balls to Imad Wasim. Nicholas Pooran came in and blew the Orcas bowlers away as he made a blistering 68 off 34 balls with three fours and seven sixes. MI Skipper Kieron Pollard also smashed his way to 34 off 18 balls with one four and three sixes.
This meant that MI made their way to 194-8 in their 20 overs. Imad was the best bowler for Orcas as he took 2-23 in his four overs. In reply, Orcas suffered a major setback as Quinton de Kock was sent back early by Rashid Khan after scoring 9 off 10 balls. His opening partner Nauman Anwarwhacked 51 off 30 balls with six fours and three sixes. When Nauman fell at 99-3, it triggered a mini-collapse for Orcas But even as wickets were falling, Heinrich Klaasen lorded over the MI bowlers and cracked a sensational unbeaten 110 off 44 balls with nine fours and seven sixes.

Klaasen kept finding boundaries at the right time to keep his side in the hunt, as wickets continued to tumble. Klassen kept hitting boundaries at regular intervals to keep his side in the hunt. The South African finally took his side home with a six that came in the second delivery of the 19th over. As Orcas beat MI by two wickets. This was a virtual knockout game for MI and Orcas and in the end, Orcas triumphed over MI.
New Zealander Trent Boult was the best bowler for MI as he took 4-31 in four overs. Klaasen has hit the upward curve ever since the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season where he scored 448 runs in 12 games at an average of 49.77 and a strike rate of 177.07. This century came in as a do or die game for the right-hander and it ranks better than his century in IPL 2023 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
