John Cena to go up against his former rival at Wrestle Mania event

Wrestle Mania could get a major boost ahead of a special event in London as John Cena could be fighting against his old rival there. This is what Bill Apter the WWE veteran feels. Wrestle Mania has taken place only in the USA. The event has been in place for a long time since its establishment in 1985. In the Money in the Bank event that happened recently. Cena dropped a bombshell saying  ‘Mania coming to London soon’.

When the announcement came through, it made headlines across wrestling circles, but it looks like the event will not take shape before 2026. On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Time Machine podcast hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter hinted that apart from anchoring Mania when it happens in London, Cena could also be seen in action in the ring.

Apter also went forward and named Baron Corbin as Cena’s opponent. He further said that if Cena has a good game the home fans will go wild and have a memorable evening. “Or a quick thing in the ring with Baron Corbin or something, where he puts him up in his finisher, drops him, does the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Everybody’s happy,” Bill Apter said. Seth Rawlins also talked about Wrestle Mania taking shape in London and believes that the same thing will come true.

“Yeah absolutely. I love doing WrestleMania in different cities.” Rollins continued, “I love doing them in different cities and different markets. Obviously, the logistics of getting WrestleMania to London are a little bit different than being stateside. But this is the biggest professional wrestling company on the planet. If anybody can do it, we can. So I would love to be able to bring a WrestleMania or a huge stadium show to London, the Greater London area. Obviously, we did the UK with Clash at the Castle in Cardiff but it would be absolutely special to do it in London.” Rawlins said on the out-of-character podcast.
