‘Isko toh jail mein band karna chaiye’ – Trolls on filmmaker Om Raut as he visits Ram Mandir in Ayodhya post Adipurush disaster

In front of a large number of dignitaries, athletes, politicians, and Bollywood stars, PM Narendra Modi finally wrapped up the eagerly awaited Praan Pratishtha ceremony for Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. Bollywood celebrities including Madhuri Dixit Nene, Rohit Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt were present at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. However, out of all of them, one director attracted the most attention and was praised for his courage and presence.

Director Om Raut was spotted at the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony after delivering one of the biggest box office disasters of the previous year, Adipurush, and hurting the feelings of millions of people worldwide. Om Raut posted a picture on his X, where he wrote, “अयोध्यापति राम लला की जय। जय श्री राम।”. The comment section of this post has been limited. People’s reactions to Om Raut’s photo at the Ram Mandir are growing quickly, with many wondering, “Who even invited this guy?” Om Raut made the unnecessary Ramayan adaption after producing the critically acclaimed and financially successful ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’. However, the audience disapproved of the film because of its shoddy character acting, obscene speech, and subpar visual effects.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony today, January 22, to mark the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. A report in The Hindu states that invitations have been sent to a select group of 506 powerful people, including politicians, businesspeople, actors, and more.

In addition to Om, other celebrities who travelled to the city for the event included Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Rohit Shetty, and Rajkumar Hirani. The movie Adipurush debuted in theatres on June 16, 2023. The epic Ramayana in Hindu mythology serves as the basis for the movie.

But after it was released, the movie received a lot of negative feedback from viewers who thought it had misrepresented the epic. Many expressed dissatisfaction with the dialogue and how Ravana and Lord Hanuman were portrayed in the movie. The Om Raut directorship’s CBFC certification was also challenged in a Supreme Court plea. That was, however, dismissed by the highest court.
