England all-rounder Tom Curran was seemingly upset after he found out that he has lost his blue tick on Twitter. Curran doesn’t use the platform often and he made his first tweet after nearly a year on Sunday (January 29).

After logging in, he realized that his blue tick has been removed. The bowling all-rounder also took a funny shot at billionaire Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, who had previously proposed paying $8 per month for the feature.

Curran said bye to his fans and confirmed that he won’t use the platform.

“Haha just seen I’ve lost my blue tick too. Not that that is important! Is that the $7 Elon Musk thing? Haha that’s funny. Still hate twitter. Probs not come on for ages again. Be kind on here ppl. That’s all. Bye,” he wrote on Twitter.

The great man calls: Tom Curran

Curran, a member of England’s 2019 50-over World Cup-winning team, has more than 66,000 followers on Twitter. He follows 225 people on the platform. Before leaving the platform, Tom tweeted about his upcoming Pakistan Super League stint.

“My first tweet in what must be years. Too much junk on here never use it. The great man calls however I must respond also seems a good time to say that I’m super excited to be joining @IsbUnited for this years PSL, I CANNOT WAIT to get to Pakistan for the first time,” he wrote.

He is currently engaged in the newly launched ILT20 league currently happening in UAE. Curran represents Desert Vipers in the T20 tournament, and as per recent reports, Curran expressed his willingness to make a comeback to the national side.

Tom Curran’s younger brother, Sam Curran, shattered records and joined Punjab Kings for Rs 18.5 crore in the auction. He now holds the record for drawing the highest-ever bid in the IPL auction’s history. Sam is part of the national team and lifted the 2022 T20 World Cup under Jos Buttler’s captaincy.
