The two players who would be the openers in the team of the tournament are Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Virat Kohli is one of those players who can be trusted to perform well just before the big tournament like the T20 World Cup 2024. Since the Asia Cup 2022, Virat has been at his best again across formats. He is well and truly back. in the IPL 2023, the star batter had his second-best season in the IPL. Having not played in T20Is since the end of the T20 WC 2022, Virat would be looking forward to performing in the IPL 2024.

Yashasvi Jaiswal would be the second opener in the team. Like Virat, he can be trusted to come good in the IPL 2024. The youngster can take on the best bowlers in the world and score runs for fun against them. In the early stages of the game, Jaiswal can take the match away from the opposition completely.
