The big news coming in from the Hundred draft is that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have gone unsold. Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell shockingly have also found no takers. The main reason behind the two Pakistan cricketers going unsold is that they have international commitments at the time of the Hundred. This means that they will be unavailable for the full season.

64 players were picked in the Hundred draft across both the men’s and women’s divisions by eight teams. Welsh Fire bagged Tom Abell and Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, who will form a lethal combination. This will be the maiden season in the Hundred for both the Pakistan speedsters. Another startling omission in the Men’s draft was that of Trent Boult, who did not get a team. Tim David was retained by Southern Brave with the help of a Right to match card.

Harmanpreet Kaur will now play for the Trent Rockets in the third edition of the Hundred

The third edition of the Hundred starts on August 1. Two more players can be signed in by all teams. They will be called wildcards. The signing of these players can happen after the end of the T20 Blast group stages. The Women’s side can take two players and sign them up even if they are not part of the draft.

When it came to the Women’s draft, Sophia Dunckley was snapped up by Welsh Fire. When it comes to the other players, Grace Harris (London Spirits), Laura Wolvaardt (Manchester Originals), Kate Cross (Northern Superchargers), Suzie Bates (Oval Invincibles) and Harmanpreet Kaur (Trent Rockets) were the big buys. Sophie Devine, Danni Wyatt and Davidson- Richards stayed at the same franchises thanks to right-to-match cards.

Harmanpreet Kaur who played for Manchester Originals will now play for the Trent Rockets.
