‘I miss her a lot’ – Shoaib Malik puts end to rumours of his divorce with Sania Mirza

There were rumours of the separation of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza circulating in the last few months. There were also rumours of Shoaib dating Pakistani actor Ayesha Omar which have been making headlines.

However, the 41-year-old allrounder put an end to all those rumours during a conversation with the Pakistani News Channel. Malik said that wanted to spend with his wife during Eid but it couldn’t be possible because of international commitments. He also added that he misses Sania during the festivals.

“Khabre chal rahi hai, taluqat acche nahi hai (Rumours are going around that all is not well in your relationship with Sania). What do you want to say?” the host asked Malik on a Geo News programme.

‘Eid is a day when you miss a lot the people who are close to you’ – Malik

“Nothing on it (relationship rumours). On Eid, I would like to say that had we been together it would have been great. But she has got commitments in IPL. She is doing shows in IPL. That’s why we are not together. We share love like always. I miss her a lot, that I can say. There are (professional) commitments. But Eid is a day when you miss a lot the people who are close to you. This is way neither I released a statement nor did she,” Malik replied the question.

Notably, earlier this year, Ayesha Omar had also reacted to being blamed for the alleged divorce between the couple. When I asked about her relationship with the Pakistani Cricketer on a chat show, Omar replied, “I will never be attracted to a married or committed man ever. Everyone knows me… that goes without saying.”

There were rumours of a relationship between Shoaib and Omar since 2021 after both appeared together for a photoshoot. After that, the photos went viral on Social Media in no time and there were also speculations that both will get married, However, Omar refuted all those rumours last year.

It is noted that Sania and Shoaib tied knot with each other in the year 2010. In 2018, they were also blessed with their son Izhaan Mirza Malik in October 2018.
