New Zealand batter, Colin Munro smashed Mujeeb Ur-Rahman out of the park in the ongoing Big Bash League encounter between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades on Thursday.

The two teams are locking horns at Cazaly’s Stadium in the third match of the Big Bash League 2022. Batting first, Melbourne Renegades put in a strong total of 166 runs on the board.

Skipper Maddinson played a stellar knock of 87 runs in 49 balls, including 10 fours and 3 sixes. It could well become a match-winning knock, given how the opposition team is batting right now.

The other batters, however, gave little support to the Renegades’ captain. The likes of Finch (4), Welsh (1), and Frazer (3) got out on single-digit scores.

Russell, later, chipped in with a handy contribution of 35 runs in 28 deliveries. As for the Brisbane Heat’s bowling unit, M Kuhnemann was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs.

Bazley also made impressive returns of 2 for 19 in 4 overs. In reply, Brisbane Heat hasn’t made a great start, having lost three wickets for 70 runs in 10.4 overs.

But, Colin Munro’s six against Mujeeb Ur-Rahman during the innings has managed to grab eyeballs. On the 3rd ball of the 8th over, the Afghanistan spinner bowled one right in Munro’s arc and the latter smacked that over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. It turned out to be the biggest six in the game as the bowl had reached out of the park.

The official account of the Big Bash League has shared the video clip of that six on their social media handle. You can watch it here:

In pursuit of the target, the Brisbane Heat had lost three wickets for just 34 runs in 6.2 overs. But, since then, Colin Munro (35 off 29) and Jimmy Peirson (34 off 20) have made a stellar recovery but they are ought to play a little more aggressive to win the match.
