The Big Bash League season 12 is going on at full tilt. Currently, the Sydney Scorchers are leading the points table with 10 points in 6 matches while Brisbane Heat have to contend with last place with just 2 points.

The Big Bash, however, is not just about being at the top of the league but also showcasing jaw-dropping talents that get fans’ hearts going. The BBL  has been known for great catches, run-outs, sixes and other moments that remain in the memory of the fans even after a long time.

One such moment was created by Sydney Scorchers batter Josh Inglis in their 6th match of the BBL. Playing against the Melbourne Renegades, the right-hand batter pulled a great switch hit that has become the talk of the cricketing world.

Chasing a target of 157 against Renegades, Inglis was playing on 31 off 28 deliveries when he decided to switch up the play even faster and played a switch hit over the third slip to four.

The commentator as well as the entirety of the fans were awed by the shot. The commentator said, “Oh, how is that for a shot? That is not easy to do. Josh Inglis is unbelievable.”

Here’s the video:

As for the match, it was a straightforward win for the Scorchers who chased down the target of 156 set by the Renegades. On the back of Aaron Finch’s half-century (65 off 48) Renegades had managed to put 155/6 on the scoreboard. It, however, didn’t put many challenges to the Scorchers as Faf du Plessis with his 39 off 29 gave a good start to the second innings and later Cameron Bancroft (46 off 32) took the game closer.

Inglish after coming on at number 4 smashed 47 off of 34 and took the game away from the Renegades. In the end, they won the match with two balls to spare and moved to the top of the table.
