Rinku Singh has been a revelation for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2023 Indian Premier League edition. The left-hander has had a tournament of note. He has slammed 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52. Amidst his batting heroics, Kevin Pietersen called him IPL 2023’s best finisher. The Left hander has struck four fifties in the tournament. The Southpaw starred for KKR in an incredible heist against the Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad.

The 25-year-old blew Yash Dayal to smithereens and smashed for 31 runs in his final over to register one of the most amazing wins in IPL history. He has been at it. The left-hander has been one of KKR’s best batters and has been the glue for the franchise. In an underwhelming season for KKR, Rinku has emerged as one of the bright spots for KKR this season. Even his last knock against Lucknow Super Giants almost got KKR over the line.

Rinku played an unbelievable innings of 67 off 33 balls with six fours and four sixes. He was striking at 203. This amazing knock of his took KKR within touching distance of what would have been a famous win. But sadly, in the end, LSG won the game by one run. With this win, LSG have confirmed a spot in the playoffs in IPL 2023. Abhishek Nayar the KKR assistant coach hailed Rinku for his batting exploits and said that he is a fantastic addition to the side.

“Rinku Singh has always been a great player of spin. If you go back and look at his first-class season, domestic cricket in general, Rinku Singh is one name that will come across as one of those three-four people who have been successful over the past two-three season,” Nayar talked about Rinku in the Post-match presser following KKR’s win against Chennai Super Kings.

“He has always been someone who has done that for UP in domestic cricket in different situations. He knows how to play in these conditions, domestic cricket gives you one of the most challenging pitches. He has been through the grind, I am so happy to see him achieve success like that,” Nayar added.
