Pakistan is scheduled to play a three-match ODI series against the West Indies, which starts on June 8 on their home soil. Hasan Ali is included in the squad. However, Pakistan fans were not happy with his recent form, and hence, he faced a lot of criticism from them.

Current head coach of Pakistan and former legend Saqlain Mushtaq recently went on to support Hasan by backing him for this upcoming series. Speaking to the media, he said that Hasan Ali is a match-winner and an asset to the National Team.

He was a little fatigued but now he is fresh” – Saqlain Mushtaq

The legendary spinner said that he was a little fatigued and that’s why his performance dipped in recent times. But, now he will deliver again as he is fresh and ready. Pakistan coach added: “Hasan is a match-winning player and he has proved it with his performances. He was a little fatigued but now he is fresh,”

Speaking about this important series against West Indies, Saqlain emphasised the usage of some benched players throughout the series. According to him, this series could be a good opportunity for them to test some new players for finding the best possible combinations for future matches.

He said: “All players are unified, and we will provide rest to those who request it,” He also added that Pakistan will look to win all three matches to improve their position in the World Cup Super League points table.

“The West Indies team will come fully prepared. We have not done all the work on them yet but are hopeful of defeating them 3-0. The players are working hard and training is going on as per plans. There is no doubt that it is hot but the support staff is making the strategy as per the strength of our players,” he concluded.

Pakistan is now placed tenth in the Super League points table with 60 points in 12 matches. While West Indies is sitting in the fourth position with 80 points in 18 matches.
