Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has praised Ravichandran Ashwin by calling him the all-time great. The fifth Test match against England in HCPA Stadium in Dharamsala will mark Ravichandran Ashwin’s 100th Test match for India. In the third Test against England in Rajkot Ravichandran Ashwin had picked up 500th Test wickets for India.

Ravichandran Ashwin becomes the second India bowler behind Anil Kumble to achieve this landmark. He also was able to break the record of Anil Kumble, with 350 Test wickets at home. Ravichandran Ashwin becomes the ninth bowler to take 500 Test wickets he is only behind Muthiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Anil Kumble, Glenn McGrath, Courtney Walsh and Nathan Lyon.

In an interview with Revsportz, Sourav Ganguly stated that Ravichandran Ashwin is the all-time great player while Ravindra Jadeja is the best all-rounder at this time he added. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja is ranked No.1 in Test all-rounder rankings.

“All-time great, all-time great off-spinner. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke. Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions,” said Ganguly.

In the first Test against England in Hyderabad he was able to score 87 runs and in the third Test in Rajkot Ravindra Jadeja scored his fourth Test hundred and he is the third-highest wicket-taker for India in the ongoing Test series against England. In four Test matches, he has taken 17 wickets.

He also spoke about Kuldeep Yadav, where he stated that Kuldeep Yadav has improved and will play for a long time for the Indian team. So, in the Test series, he has picked 12 wickets while playing three Test matches.

The last Test match between India and England will be held in HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala from 7th March onwards. India has won the Test series by 3-1 against England.
