Kohli was introduced to the dark side of international cricket on India’s tour to England in 2014 where he faced his first real failure in his career. He could only amass 134 runs across 10 innings in test series at an average of 13.50 failing to reach the 50-run mark even once. He further couldn’t make a significant contribution in the following ODI series. However, even at his worst, he ended up scoring 66 off 41 balls in the only T20I played during the tour.
