India were facing Australia in the three-match T20I series in January 2016. The first match of the series was being played at Kohli’s favourite ground The Adelaide Oval. He ended up scoring a magnificent 90 off 55 balls which was also his highest score in T20I at that moment. Courtesy of Kohli’s knock, India reached the total of 188/3 in their allotted 20 overs and successfully defended it winning the match by 37 runs.
