The New Zealand import Colin Munro got a handy 23 in just 13 balls. The Skipper Lewis Gregory scored a quickfire 24 of just 12 balls, which had 2 fours and 1 maximum. This allowed the Trent Rockets to get to a superb score of 181-4 in their allotted 100 balls.

Sunil Narine was good with the ball as well, picking up the prized scalp of Malan and conceding 24 runs in his 20-ball spell. Tom Curran was expensive as well as he gave away 36 runs in his 20-ball spell and failed to pick up a wicket while bowling. In the second innings, the chase was going to be tough for the Oval Invincibles as no one got going except for Jordan Cox who scored a magnificent 61 off 33 balls, which included 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Narine and Hales got to the 20s and there was nothing else to see on the batting front.
