Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are clashing against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday, May 20. DC, who are already eliminated from the tournament, will aim to ruin the party for CSK, who are just 1 win away to qualify for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social media in which a lot of CSK fans can be seen on Delhi roads to welcome CSK players. The bus in which all the CSK players were arriving to the stadium got stuck in the traffic due to the massive crowd in which most of the people were seen wearing the yellow jersey.
Despite being placed second on the points table, the MS Dhoni-led side’s playoff qualification chances hinge on the result of their last league game. A win secures them the berth, and a loss would leave their fate hanging on the events elsewhere in the competition (they will need one of LSG, MI, or RCB to lose). However, that’s not the only concern for them as there’s also a top-two finish at stake.

Meanwhile, talking about the match, CSK won the toss and opted to bat first. During the toss, Dhoni revealed that they are playing with the same XI which were in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Dhoni also revealed the reason behind opting to bat first,
“We will bat. We’ve been trying to win games right from the first game. We’re playing the same XI, it’s a balanced eleven and we don’t need to make many changes. Day game, the pitch will also slow down as the match progresses, that’s the reason we wanted to bat first. In a tournament like this, we’ll have good and bad games, need to take the learnings from every game and that’s what I want the youngsters in the team to learn.”
