Australia posts a huge first innings total

After winning the toss, the South African team decided to bowl first and thought that the team would get early wickets and restrict the Australian team to a modest total and then chase it down. But the Australian openers certainly had other plans as both David Warner along with Travis Head came out all guns blazing and smacked the Proteasโ€™ bowling attack to all parts of the ground.

After the dismissal of Head on 64 who was absolutely going bonkers, the host managed to scalp the prized wicket of skipper Mitchell Marsh, who was out for a golden duck. Then Warner and Labuschagne stitched a valuable third wicket stand of 151 runs before the former bowled by Andile Phehlukwayo. Josh Inglis provided the finishing touches to the Australian innings with a smooth-sailing 50 off just 37 deliveries with seven boundaries and one mighty six. Courtesy of some brilliant batting Australia managed to post a gigantic total of 392 runs on the boards which will be very challenging for the hosts.
