Aman Hakim Khan takes a ripper to get rid of Faf du Plessis during RCB vs DC in IPL 2023

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) battled it out at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. The coin fell in favour of DC and they opted to bowl first. RCB got off to a brisk start as Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were among the runs straightaway. But when the score was at 42, disaster struck. Du Plessis was facing Mitchell Marsh. Du Plessis hit two boundaries in the first over.
In the fourth delivery of the first over, du Plessis went down the wicket and wanted to charge at Mitchell Marsh. Du Plessis did not time the shot properly and heaved it to Aman Hakim Khan at mid-wicket. Hakim stretches his hand to his right. and takes the catch. He first got a hand to the ball initially, it then hit his hand and went in the air, he took it on the second attempt. Kudos to him for taking the catch under pressure which resulted him in getting the big fish.

RCB scored 174-6 in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli made an enterprising 50 off 34 balls with six fours and one six. The move to send Mahipal Lomror at number three backfired as he scored just 26 off 18 balls with two sixes. Glenn Maxwell could not get going as well. He scored 24 off 14 balls with three sixes. One of the most bizarre decisions taken was to send Harshal Patel ahead at number 5 in place of a seasoned campaigner like Wanindu Hasaranga.
In the end, due to a middle order collapse, RCB somehow huffed and puffed to a total. Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Marsh were sensational with the ball as Kuldeep picked up 2-23 off his four overs. Marsh was DC’s partnership breaker, he picked up 2-18 in his two overs. RCB found themselves wanting with the bat in this game.
After a string on four loses, DC found their mojo and were very good with the ball. The David Warner led side was very sharp in the field as well. DC well feel that they can easily pocket two points from this game. RCB have got a lot of thinking to do so that they can approach things better.
