India had a game to forget against South Africa as no one else except Suryakumar Yadav looked like getting a big score. He made a well-crafted 68 off 40 balls with six fours and three sixes. Other than him, eight out of the eleven batters had single-digit scores against their name.

South Africa were tottering at 24-3 in the chase but Aiden Markram and David Miller scored 52 and 59 not out respectively which ensured South Africa have a smooth finish to India’s paltry total of 133.

Speaking about David Miller’s knock, Ajay Jadeja said that someone like David Miller has a cool and calm demeanour. He does not let the situation get to him and counts on the opposition to make a mistake while he pushes the game to the end.

He added that the art has been preached by Mahendra Singh Dhoni all over the world and made a humorous comment that the Indian subcontinent is bearing the brunt due to this art of chasing thought by MS Dhoni.

MS Dhoni showed everyone how to take the game deep-  Ajay Jadeja

“What David Miller has done with his game and taken it to another level is not by adding any shots or adding anything else. He’s made it into a calmer person and understanding that ‘I will wait for you to make a mistake. I won’t make a mistake early. I will take the game deep’… and this Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s lesson that he has taught to the rest of the world, we are suffering (because of that),” said Jadeja during an interaction on Cricbuzz.

India were not up to the mark as they suffered their first loss against the Proteas. South Africa reduced the Men in Blue to 49-5 and kept India down to just 133 in their 20 overs. Lungi Ngidi was the main destroyer as he pressed the Indian batting into submission. He went on to record 4-29 in his four-over spell. The difference between the two sides was the batting.

India capitulated for just 133 but South Africa put up a wonderful performance with the bat. David Miller and Aiden Markram put up a 76-run partnership between them which ensured South Africa romp home and hand the first loss to the Men in Blue.
