KL Rahul has not been in the best of form in Test cricket. He scored 18 runs in two innings in the Delhi Test. In the solitary batting innings at Nagpur, he scored 20 off 71 balls. He has been very inconsistent and patchy with the bat in hand and has not been able to get going, of late. Overall, Rahul has scored 2642 runs in Test cricket so far.
A lot of talk has been going on regarding KL Rahul’s dwindling form in Test Cricket and there was a heated debate between Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra regarding the same.

No top order batsman in atleast last 20 years of Indian cricket has played these many tests with such a low average. His inclusion is …” Prasad, recently, wrote on Twitter.

“Venky Bhai, Test match chal raha hai. How about, at least, waiting for both the innings to get over. All of us are in the same team i.e. Team India. Not asking you to hold back your thoughts but timing could be a little better. After all, our game is all about the ‘timing’.

The Indian squad for the next two Tests are to be announced. Rahul has faced a lot of backlash on his poor run with the bat. Amidst that, Rohit Sharma stated that the Indian Team will continue to back Rahul amid the string of low scores and that it is not easy for anyone to bat on these pitches.

Guys like @ashwinravi99@imjadeja#axar put a price on their wicket. They show an intent to stay on the wicket and score runs positively. @klrahul on the other hand fails to show even a positive body language. Yes he has potential but he needs to go back to domestic cricket.
Absolutely perfect observation. KL is an extremely talented batsman, but, we do have a host of abled openers with us. KL needs to go through the domestic grilling, can opt for a county season also.
Not only that but thanks to undeserving players like #KLRahul inform batsmen are missing out. Also we expect bowlers to bat everytime & they've improved immensely, when are we going ask batsmen to bowl 10 overs in a day & pick wickets?
Ab toh 2nd innings v dekh lia aakash sir ? Millions play cricket, avi ek bande ko chance pe chance milne rahega toh phir domestic performances ka kya faida ? Jitna flop KL ho raha hain utna hit Sharfaraz hua hain domestic pe ,koi toh uska zikhar he nahi karta hain !!
