Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended their pursuit in search of a maiden IPL title after they were beaten by Gujarat Titans by 6 wickets. Virat Kohli scored his second hundred in two games. The Former RCB skipper scored a sizzling 101 off 61 balls with 13 fours and one six. His amazing knock helped RCB reach a total of 197-5 in their 20 overs. In the end, his knock was overshadowed by Shubman Gill as he made a splendid 104 off 52 balls with five fours and eight sixes. His knock won GT the game.
After the march ended, Naveen-ul -Haq took a potshot at Kohli on social media. He uploaded an Instagram story of an African singer laughing. This was in response to RCB not qualifying for the playoffs. When the story was put out a lot of fans came in support of Kohli and said that Naveen-ul-Haq is crossing the line. Kohli and Naveen had a heated confrontation with each other at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

This happened when the two met for handshakes. Naveen appeared to grip Kohli’s hand very tightly. But in the end, Kohli somehow managed to shake it off. The on-field spat resulted in another off-field spat on social media where the two exchanged barbs at each other. The altercation between the two did not stop there. When Kohli got out in another game in the IPL 2023, Naveen put out a story showing the scorecard after Kohli’s dismissal along with a basket of mangoes. It was captioned ‘Sweet mangoes’.
The Naveen-ul Haq Virat Kohli rivalry does not end here. The two might go against each other at the Asia Cup if the tournament is played. Coming to the match, GT’s batting resources hunted a total of 197 pretty easily. Vijay Shankar provided wonderful support to Gill as he scored a power packed 53 off 35 balls with seven fours and two sixes.
GT overpowered RCB easily on a batting-friendly track at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and went into the IPL playoffs for the second time in a row. RCB could not make it to the playoffs after getting there the last three seasons consecutively.
