Sri Lanka (SL) will take on Bangladesh (BAN) at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on November 6 with a lot of eyes on the air quality in the Capital. Both teams have had disappointing campaigns and are reeling at the bottom of the table. While the Lankans have won just two games out of their seven, Bangladesh have succumbed to six successive losses after winning their opening game against Afghanistan. While Bangladesh have already been eliminated, Sri Lanka’s hopes hang by a thread and a defeat in Delhi will spell the end for them as well.

The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has been quite balanced in the sense that it can be conducive for both batters and bowlers based on their level of application. Teams like South Africa, Australia and Sri Lanka have shown through their performances that there are runs for the taking if proper application is shown.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Delhi is expected to remain between the late twenties and early thirties. There has been a lot of chatter regarding the air quality and that is a genuine concern for the administrators. The ICC has stated that it is monitoring the situation and making arrangements for the well-being of the stakeholders.
