WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery of tournament dismisses leaves Mohammad Rizwan in shock

Star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been phenomenal in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. He is the highest wicketkeeper for India in the tournament, with eight wickets in three games. In their third match of the tournament, Bumrah clinched two wickets against Pakistan in crunch situations.

However, his one unplayable delivery against Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan caught the attention of fans. This delivery was more special because it dismissed dangerous Rizwan, who was toying with Indian bowlers with his confident stroke plays.

On the last delivery of the 34th over, Bumrah delivered a slower off-cutter on a good length, causing it to sharply swing back in from the track. Rizwan struggled with the reduced pace and the sudden movement as the ball evaded the inside edge, clattering into the stumps, leaving the batter in shock.

Pakistan failed to hold nerves against India

In the subsequent over, Bumrah faced Shadab and sent another slower delivery, this time pitching it on length, outside off, and angling it in sharply. The batsman tried to defend while remaining at the crease, but the ball rolled to the outside edge and struck the top of the stump. Shadab stood momentarily before heading back to the dugout, having only scored two runs off five balls.

It’s worth noting that at one moment Pakistan was dominating the game, as they were two down for 155 in 32 overs. However, soon Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah will create havoc in the Pakistani batting lineup. Siraj dismissed Babar Azam, while Bumrah dismissed Rizwan. Both had added 82 runs for the third wicket. However, after their departure, Pakistan were bowled out for a mere 191 runs in 43 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav clinched two wickets each. Shardul Thakur went wicketless.
